In January 1997 the law for towing a trailer changed. It I now stands as, if you passed your test after that date. You are restricted to what size and weight of trailer you can legally tow. Before January 1997, you can Tow anything that is within the towing capabilities of your vehicle. After January 1997 you can tow up to a combined weight of 3500kg. That is The max weight of your vehicle, MAM is full loaded weight, plus the max plated weight of the Trailer. If your not sure, ask us and we will let you know if your legally towing or not. Illegally Towing .ca carry a £5000 fine and 6 penalty points. Don't risk it, it's not worth it.
